If you want to feel the true spirit of Kaş, Uzun Çarşı (The Long Bazaar) is the place to be. It has a mystical vibe compared to Kemer, a more serene and organized feel than Bodrum, and a much more authentic, bohemian atmosphere than Alaçatı. Walking through its narrow stone-paved streets, lined with colorful shutters and traditional wooden bay-windowed houses, you truly feel time slowing down. It is undoubtedly the most photographed spot in Kaş—and for a good reason; every corner invites you to pull out your camera.

What Makes It Special?

Along Uzun Çarşı, you’ll find shops selling handmade jewelry, ceramic and textile workshops, unique designer boutiques, and charming gift stores. Unlike the world of mass industrial production, this bazaar prioritizes craftsmanship and original designs. For those who want to take a break, small coffee shops, dessert parlors, and cozy cafes complete the atmosphere. While it gets livelier towards the evening, it never feels overwhelming; instead, it offers a vibrant energy that perfectly mirrors the tranquil soul of Kaş.

A Tip for 2026 Visitors:

Uzun Çarşı is less about a shopping list and more about exploration and “feeling” Kaş. It’s a place to wander aimlessly for hours, discovering new details in every alley. It is a mandatory stop for anyone spending time in the town center.

In 2025, I pivoted my high-paced career in Digital Brand Development in Istanbul to integrate it into the slow-living culture of Kaş. I now apply the principles of "authenticity" and "utility"—the core of my brand strategies—right here in the streets of this Mediterranean town. This isn't just a travel guide; it’s a verified User Experience (UX) filtered through a professional lens. Welcome to an optimized, honest, and truly local vision of Kaş.
