About a 45-50 minute drive from Kaş, Taş Dibi Beach stretches along the Demre coastline, right next to the ancient harbor of Andriake. For those of us used to the tiny coves of Kaş, the vastness of this shoreline offers an incredible sense of freedom.
Why Should You Visit Taş Dibi Beach?
- Endless Shoreline: Unlike the crowded beaches of Kaş, you’ll never struggle to find a spot here. Even on the busiest days, it’s easy to find a private area for yourself.
- Crystal Clear & Refreshing: True to its name (“Taş Dibi” means stony bottom), the pebble seafloor keeps the water as clear as glass.
- Budget-Friendly Municipal Facilities: Run by the Demre Municipality, the beach offers clean showers, changing rooms, and a cafe with very reasonable prices. You can use your own towel for free or rent a sunbed for a small fee.
- No Parking Stress: Unlike the narrow streets of Kaş, there is plenty of free parking right behind the beach.
Pro Tips:
- Water Shoes: The beach consists of medium-sized pebbles. While some find it fine barefoot, we recommend water shoes for extra comfort.
- Nearby Gems: Don’t miss the Museum of Lycian Civilizations (Andriake) and the nearby Bird Sanctuary located just behind the beach.
